The profits of this site are for the charitable hospital in Chilianaula in the Himalayas India. Here is an apeal by Raghuvir Boll:
Dear Brother and or Sister,
As you know I am often in India. One of the things I do there is giving my support to a charitable hospital there. This is one of the activities of the organization I am connected to there.
It was quite an endeavor to set up this hospital there in North India en to make it run well. Since some years now we have one particular department I would like to ask your attention for a minute for it excels in success. It is our eye department and we have modern equipment ( by donation ) professional doctors and an able good willing soul who oversees it all.
 It is now organized that from time to time eye specialists are coming from New Delhi for no salary and dedicate themselves for several days for the needy people there and operate from morning to evening. Since half a year we also have a renowned eye specialist on a permanent bases. In this way we have been able to help over a 1000 people and have them see the light again. You cannot imagine the beauty you see when somebody who has been blind or almost, takes of his bandages after an operation and cries or jumps from happiness when he or she can see again. We are in process to make a small movie about this so one can imagine the situation there more lively but did not want to wait for that to involve you in this. The Himalaya region is one of the poorest areas in Asia and when you are blind there you are not just useless but also a burden to the rest of the family. An eye operation is therefore a great relieve for the cumbersome situation of these mountain people.
Even with our good infrastructure in the hospital en the selfless action from these specialists the cost of one operation is still 25 Euro. For us nothing much but there for most an unsurpassable amount. I know well that here there is nothing wasted on overhead or doubtful extra’s as is often the case in donations to charitable organizations. Therefore I am trying with clear conscious to motivate you to participate in letting the light shine in these eyes of these poor people there.
You can wire it yourself or I can bring your donation for one or several operations on the next occasion I go and will bring you a receipt on my return.
